Rt. 755 Bridge Construction Update

The construction on the Rt 755 (Edgewood Rd) culvert bridge near Willoughby Beach Rd is part of a larger Street Scape project.  The original completion date was August 25th for the start of the school year.  According to the State Highway Administration, serious design and utility problems were encountered at the construction site and it will be at least 1 month and likely 2 months before the project is completed. (possibly around the end of October to early November).  See this MD SHA Project Page for current project status.

December 2008 Update:

The bridge is now open and as many residents know traffic can once again travel normally on Edgewood Rd.  However please drive with caution as construction is still continuing, on occasion traffic may be stopped or flagged by construction personnel.
